Has anyone else noticed this?

I've been having a gander at car hire and I'm noticing a massive increase in prices from when I last looked back in Nov!
We are wanting to get a midsize or standard type SUV and originally when I looked on Alamo brits I was quoted £304-£317 which I thought was a flippin good price! But now looking again I am being quoted £418+ for midsize and £507+ for standard!
Im just wondering if anyone else noticed this at all or is it just me?! Also, does anyone know why it's gone up so much? I'm genuinely sat here so shocked. It looks like the £200 I saved on park tickets might be going on the car hire now! So annoying!

This raises an interesting point and one that people need to be aware of when booking hire cars, it may also apply to other bookings but I have no experience of that. I have noticed from other peoples comments and I have also noticed myself when checking prices, different devices give different prices. From some comments and from personal experience that price difference can be several hundred pounds depending on the device you use. So, it is worth trying different devices when looking at prices don’t just stick to one phone, tablet or PC.

No price difference for me sadly. I always check via laptop and though my phone as I do notice this with hotels but usually not with car hire.

And me albeit I use the PC and iPad. Plus I am always clearing the history etc on the iPad as it's slow!
Never get a different price.

If I were you I would be checking my booking 21 days full size suv is showing at £968.54
7 days is £349
Either you were lucky and there was a glitch or you have made a mistake with your booking I have checked every day for wks and the price you have got has not been there.

Months ago they were lower

I booked in November for my August trip 14 days Standard SUV at £298 now today it's £370.
I also booked in September for April trip 15 days 7 seater minivan at £387 now today its £558
I use pay on arrival no cancellation so book it first and keep checking if it goes down cancel, if it goes up you've saved, win win.
Moral is book it if you think it's cheap.
