Car Hire vs Coach to Kennedy Space Centre?

Hi folks

We are currently trying to work out the best approach for travelling to KSC in May.

We are spending the first week of our Honeymoon in Orlando, and we want to visit KSC on our last day but it's a bit of a headache trying to work out our best option.

In the past, whenever we have hired a car or a van in the UK, there is always the option to return the vehicle out of hours (ie park up and put the keys in a safety deposit box) but when looking at Hertz & Avis, this option doesn't seem available as it's a Sunday and the rental office is only open for a few hours, so we would have to drop the car off on the Monday morning and hand over keys in person before our flight to DC - not keen on the thought of having to do this and then rush to the airport.

Is it a better idea to book a coach/ticket package instead? We have spotted a deal on floridatix.com for about £120 total for tickets plus return coach.

Car hire would work out slightly cheaper and means we could get to KSC for opening and leave at closing - the floridatix option means we won't get there until 10am and leave before closing at 5.30.

Thanks

Why not pick it up either the night before you go to KSC or first thing in the morning. Then drop it off at the airport on your flight day?
No charges for different pick up/drop off locations

We had considered that but airport transfers are already booked, although we could cancel easily enough.

We are quite happy to get the coach instead as the pick up point is only 15 mins walk from hotel, just unsure if we would be missing out on too much by losing an hour and a half to 2 hours at KSC - is 10am til 5pm enough time to do the full thing?
