The BIG Hawaii Five-0 Birthday Trip - Sept/Oct 2024

Hello and welcome to my latest trip report from our recent holiday to Hawaii and Las Vegas.
We started off by flying to San Francisco for one night then the next morning flew to Oahu where we spent 4 nights in Turtle Bay, 2 nights in Paradise Bay and 3 nights in Waikiki. We then flew over to Maui where we had 4 nights in Kaanapali Beach. Our last destination was 3 nights in Las Vegas before flying home to London. In total we stayed in 7 different accommodations and we barely stopped the entire holiday but we had an amazing time exploring what some of Hawaii has to offer

Pre travel/Travel Days - London Heathrow to San Francisco, Hilton Bayfront SFO & dinner @ Kincaid's

Day 1 - SFO-HNL, lunch in Haleiwa, checking in to Turtle Bay AirBnb, pool time & dinner @ Sunset

Day 2 - Kawela Bay Trail, beach time, snorkelling & dinner @ Stonefish in Haleiwa

Day 3 - Breakfast @ Ted's Bakery, Waimea Valley Falls, Matsomuto's Shave Ice, Laniakai 'Turtle' Beach & snorkelling in Sharks Cove

Day 4 - Pool time, shopping @ Premium Outlets & dinner @ Seven Brothers

Day 5 - Jungle Adventure Tour @ Kualoa Ranch, checking in to Paradise Bay Hotel, lunch @ BWW in Kaneohe, chilling @ resort and BBQ dinner

Day 6 - Paddleboarding & kayaking in Kaneohe Bay, shaved ice @ Island Snow in Kailua, Lanikai Beach, drinks in Kailua & dinner @ Whiskey Smoke 808

Day 7 - Check in to Hilton Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head Trail, lunch @ Oahu Mexican Grill, Pool time, drinks & exploring Waikiki

Day 8 - Pearl Harbour Tour, drive back to Turtle Bay to retrieve lost passport!, lunch @ The Beach House, sunset @ Waikiki Beach, dinner & drinks @ Mai Tai Bar in The Royal Hawaiian Hotel

Day 9 - Manoa Falls Trail, Leonard's Bakery, pool time, mini golf & dinner @ Dukes Waikiki

Day 10 - Koko Crater Trail, fly HNL-OGG, drive to Kaanapali Beach, check in to VRBO, pool & beach time & dinner @ Monkeypod

Day 11 - Exploring Whalers Village, beach time & BBQ dinner @ resort

Day 12 - Helen's 50th, Sunrise @ Haleakala National Park, breakfast @ Kula Lodge, pool time & dinner @ Leilani's

Day 13 - Breakfast @ Castaway Cafe, Beach day & BBQ dinner @ resort

Day 14 - Fly OGG-LAS, check in to Green Valley Ranch Hotel & dinner @ Borracha

Day 15 - Check in to Caesar's Palace, pool time, lunch @ Chicken Guy, evening in Fremont Street, dinner @ Hennessey's Tavern & drinks @ Mickie Finnz

Day 16 - Hangovers!, Pool day, dinner @ Panda Express, Bellagio fountains & Conservatory

Day 17 - Breakfast @ Caesar's Palace, check out & fly LAS-LGW

Day 18 - Land in Gatwick and train home
