Ever had pneumonia and had to be in hospital just for a night?

I have been admitted to hospital for 24hours though with kidney stones. So if I was admitted to hospital through a and e I would be tested for covid 19 as part of the admitting process. So if positive I would have been admitted with covid 19. I would then be discharged if the covid wasnít a problem for me and told to self isolate. Nowhere does it state hospital admission with covid 19 and pneumonia.

No I havenít. It was aimed more at the overreaction of some that attend hospital with the slightest of ailments.

Edit: I did spend a single night in hospital as a 14 year old with an amputation though.
Sometimes, statistics donít always reflect the severity of admittance.

In my opinion the indicators are fine. The hospital admissions show those who are ill enough to spend at least one night in hospital.

I don't think they are going to admit anyone who doesn't need it at the moment.

If you believe that some of them may not be sick enough to count then fair enough. Might be better for you to keep an eye on the patients on ventilators figure. I'm no medical expert but I think it's pretty serious when it gets to that stage.

Iím not so sure. The clinical criteria need for observation overnight, shouldnít have changed due to CV.

Edit: Iím not so sure on the ventilator numbers either, havenít we moved away from them as a preferred treatment?

Updated chart after today's figures, still no sign of increase of cases.
