We love Kraków and have stayed in a few different locations but our favourite by far is the Jewish quarter. It’s a great walkable location to everything, the main square and castle in one direction (along the river, very scenic) and the ghetto and schindlers factory in the other direction. It’s a bustling area filled with bakeries, restaurants, bars etc and we prefer spending our evenings there after exploring the main square in the day. We have stayed several times at Kazimierz secret apartments, huge and spotlessly clean, and right in the middle of the quarter. The decor is dated but charming and it’s building is just stunning. My son has just booked a visit with his uni friends for next easter and they are sharing an apartment for 6 which is costing £35 total per person for 3 nights-great value.

We go to Krakow most years between Christmas and new year and usually stay in the Wawel Hotel. It’s close to the main square but down a very quiet side street. A lovely breakfast is provided including omelettes made to order 😋.
There are loads of lovely hotels and apartments but we would always stay close to the main square as we love the old town. We tend not to enjoy the Jewish quarter but others do. |

We did AirBNB and stayed here
abnb.me/gFJgTHsgz9 Great place and host- delicious bakery/coffee shop downstairs and five minute walk to the main square. We walked everywhere, it’s a great city we loved it.

Another vote for Venetian House, it's right on the main square.

Ooh I had an amazing one through hotels.com that worked out really cheap and was stunning.
I think it was called the Feldmana 6, but I’ll check Essentially it was an apartment block, where a young polish couple had bought most of the apartments. They will organise your transfers, they meet you at the apartment to show you everything. They are all different sizes too, we had the biggest as there should have been 6 of us, but there was only 4 in the end. It was about 10-15 minutes walk up a straight road to the main square, and had a corner shop you could get supplies in. The apartment itself was absolutely huge and stunning. 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) as well as a huge couch that converted into a bed. 2 bathrooms, 1 full and 1 with a massive shower. Fitted wardrobes throughout. Full kitchen, dining table, tv with Netflix and DVD player, full length balcony. You literally needed nothing else, and it was super secure too. We went last January for 4 nights, I think between Quidco and discount codes we paid about £200ish. It was more than worth it.
