October 2016. Five Go on an adventure! Day 3
So it's day 3 already... Wow!
I woke up super early again, seems I'm the only one not adjusted to the time zone yet. Anyway eventually everyone was up and breakfast was served... OK I made cereal and toast but totally counts. We then headed to Hollywood studios. We were there minutes after it opened, which for our family is some achievement , ask anyone that knows us lol. We headed straight for jedi sign up. Queue was an hour even at that time but we did manage to get an evening place which then made all our plans for the day change! Due to the queue they gave us a free fastpass-plus good for anything. The jedi queue meant we missed our first fast pass but the second was ready so we went straight to tower of terror. The youngest 2 didn't want to ride so we did rider switch and the 10 year old went on twice. It was way scarier than I remember! My son is front row, bright orange, doesn't look the least bit scare We then went rock n roller, it had a 70 minute wait so we used the free fastpass-plus and did rider switch again. I lived this ride.. Again not so sure about Jake, but he did it twice. We then went to indiana Jones and star tours, watched the star wars parade with an ice-cream Then it was time for toy story fast pass. Loved this ride and skipped the 60 minute wait. Was around 10 with fast pass. I scored most and hubby was quite put out haha. By this time the kids were flaked so we decided to go back for a rest and a cool in the pool however what happened was that we ended up in golden coral (Not the birthday meal I had planned) as the kids were starving. We liked it there, OK food isn't amazing but some good stuff. Pot roast was delicious and kids loved the unlimited chocolate fountain. Had a coupon so five of us with drinks was 39 dollars, can't moan at that. By the time the kids had finished demolishing the chocolate there wasn't enough time to go back to villa so we looked in some gift shops then headed back to Hollywood studios. We had some time before sign in so we went to path of the jedi movie. Not entirely sure what the purpose of that is but the sit down in the air conditioned place was nice I guess. Finally time for jedi training and the kids loved it, made it worth the wait and the photo pass guy had got 74 photos of my lot! When jedi training had finished we noticed no wait for star tours so went on it twice in a row as had a fast pass. Got 2 different stories to the last time so that was fun. We then watched the star wars fireworks from a distance which were amazing and called it quits. I was amazed the kids had made it all day but not as amazed as when we got back the boys then went in the pool for over an hour! I left hubby to that as me and my daughter admitted defeat and passed out asleep. That was the most tiring birthday in a while, Hollywood studios was a lot busier than I had expected for this time of year. Birthday dinner postponed until tomorrow! |

If you haven't been before the sign up is almost next to Hollywood and vine so an early breakfast reservation might work out well.
