Mother of all thunderstorm!

Wow! The rain might have eased off but the lightning is quite something. Jut driving back and it literally looked like day light!

Certainly is a spectacular storm. We are at Emerald Island and just had a huge crack of thunder overhead.

Just had a very relaxing meal in citricos watching the stir from our window side table! Wimped our on going into MK for the fireworks and going to sit on our balcony in the wilderness love instead! We really won’t be room lottery this time as it’s only a standard but it’s got an amazing view of MK 😀

We were stuck in the plaza restaurant for about an hour and managed to run over to tomorrow land which was a big mistake as there was at least 4 inches of rain everywhere. Decided to go on carousel of progress and got stuck in the 3rd room as it repeated 6 times. John is part of the rat race and poor Sarah and her rumpus. I think I know the script by heart

Have you been to Miami? What did you think? We’re going next week.

We were in Magic Kingdom, it was intense some epic lightning above the castle.

We went to buy ponchos in the Buzz gift shop and apparently two blokes started fighting over personal space!

Just as we left there was some sort of power surge and as a result the monorails stopped working so people were directed to the ferry’s... see below, not sure how good a decision that was!

We were in Disney Springs waiting for a bus back to Saratoga Springs when the lights went out. Waited 35 minutes for a bus whilst watching the lightening display. It turns out Disney springs, old key west and Saratoga springs had a massive power cut. Power was restored just as our bus pulled up to our stop. I think it was out for about an hour.

We stayed at the trump doral hotel near the airport for a couple of days and liked what we saw, which unfortunately wasn’t much due to our delayed flight and 3 hour wait at immigration which left us completely shattered the next day so instead of exploring Miami we chilled by the pool ! We are planning to spend longer there next year though!

We were down at Disney springs, power went out as we were in the Christmas shop. Walked over to the bus stop which was crazy busy but back at Riverside now.

We were on our way to Boma when it started. Luckily the Disney bus gods smiled upon us and we didn’t have long to wait. Good thing too as we were still getting very wet even wearing ponchos and under a bus shelter at AK.
Boma was worth the journey though, all the food was delicious, probably one of the best meals of the holiday. 😀
