Restaurant Ideas for 50th

Hi All .,

Not too long now until we are in Disney. I spent my 40th there and looking forward to being there for my 50th.

I would really appreciate any recommendations for somewhere nice to have a meal on the big day. One thing to consider is that I have a 7 and 4 year old so nothing to formal or expensive. Not sure they would appreciate it and to be honest I just would like something that we can all feel relaxed and enjoy. Also if one of them has a meltdown we won't get disapproving looks

Any recommendations appreciated.

Regards

Pete

Maybe start with which is your favourite park - will you be spending the day there for your 50th? That might help narrow down the choices a bit.
It's not very '50th birthday' but would the kids be kept happy with a character meal? From your OP it sounds like you'll be happy if the kids are. Maybe 1900 Park Fayre?
We had a delicious meal at Boma in the summer. The food was really good and its very relaxed with lots of families.
We've also really enjoyed Raglan Road at Disney Springs. The music is loud and they get the kids up on the stage dancing.

Thank you for the suggestions, I will take a look at them. You are absolutely right if the family are happy then so am I. Probably didn't phrase it very well in my original post but just somewhere nice but where we can be relaxed and not worry. We did a couple of character meals last year but no the one you suggested so will take a look. I'm not sure which park we will be in on my birthday but probably Magic Kingdom as the kids love that one.

We did V&A for my 50th and California grill for DW, but if you're in MK mmmmm Be Our Guest for a quality food sit down (although opinions vary). Crystal palace if you want characters - Liberty Town Tavern if you DONT want characters and the castle if you don't mind all the princesses LOL

If you're at MK and you want something to remember, how about the Fireworks Dessert Party? I know it's not a full meal but you'll get a table, nice desserts and drinks plus you'll be able to remember the view of the castle and the fireworks.

If you like peel and eat shrimp, chicken, ribs and beef, then I'd recommend Trails End at Fort Wilderness Camp Grounds. A short boat ride from the Magic Kingdom. Just spent my 58th birthday there. It's a buffet at dinner and breakfast and one year I'd did them both on my birthday, although I only managed an ice cream for lunch in between 😉😁

I would second either Be our Guest or Liberty Tree in MK. Just had excellent meals at both.

We celebrated my brother's 50th earlier this year on our visit and like you, wanted to do a nice meal at somewhere special.

However, as the holiday drew nearer we decided we would rather do something different than just a meal, so booked Early Morning Magic at MK on his actual birthday.

We spent the morning and majority of the afternoon at MK and then headed off to Golden Corral for a buffet style meal and then back to the villa for cocktails around the pool.

Obviously we were offsite - so did have the option of celebrating back at the villa where we all could enjoy a beer or two.

If you sign up on-line at Golden Corral you may get a voucher for your birthday for a free meal. I had one this week 👍 - although I don't remember getting one last year.
