I managed to pick up two tubs of ready made royal icing at morissons earlier .
I emailed Tate & Lyle customer service about the lack of the royal icing and they have replied as I had guessed that it was due to COVID but that they hope to have it back in production soon so hopefully in time for Christmas. I may hold out on icing my cake until second week of December
DS picked me up three tubs of gingerbread buttercream from Aldi , can’t wait to try it out

I’m not getting anything extra in this year after the lockdown weight gain although I seem to have a lot of everyone’s Xmas extras in my store cupboard all the time.
Cranberry sauce, cheese and crackers, crisps. I have got one very small Xmas pudding as there’s only DH and I that eat it. Buck’s Fizz is my drink on Xmas morning at breakfast with toast and pate. not buying chocs or cakes so probably going to be a normal day food wise in this household.
