Flight delay esta USA system failure.?

Currently in a large queue at Newcastle.. Not able to check in and Thomsons are saying due to esta computer failure in the US.. If this is true this us gonna have a major effect on flights into us today.. Anybody else trying to fly today?

When the ESTA system has failed in the past the US officials resort to the old green card - I94s, so I don't believe a word of Thomson's twaddle.

yep - we were flown out when the system was down last year - they asked us if we had done them (i.e. we knew we would get in) and said we'd have to fill in that old familiar card. Took a little longer to get through immigration, but the plane took off on time.

Hi I fully agree have come across Thomson's "excuses" before, although not on a Disney trip:angry:

No, the computer failure is at this end not the USA end. I had this happen to me in Bristol once. People who had printed copies of their ESTA were allowed to board and those of us who hadn't printed them out had to wait while they made a 'phone call to the USA about each one of us seperately.

Oh ,sorry to hear your having such a nightmare!
Glad I printed mine out! I guess they really should insist you print a copy for that very reason! Good luck hope you get going quickly
