These ideas sound fantastic... I’m off to google bee bombs and wildflowers grenades.👍🏻

Ooh never heard of Bee bombs, I’m off to have a look too!
The flowers look beautiful, I might do this next year in a few places in our garden.

I’ve ordered some and they can be planted now. I do have a patch that I can plant them in but will need to remember not to pull up anything that isn’t a nettle.

Looks beautiful! Can you scatter the seeds on a soil area or just in grass? I have briefly looked at wild flowers before but I’m sure they were grown as a meadow and we don’t have any grass area but I’d love some.

Mine were scattered on bare soil. The box I used was a special from Poundland and I have loads of seed left. The area is very messy looking as they start to grow. Perhaps unkempt would be a better word.

We laid wildflower turf at our old house on a raised bit of garden and it was absolutely beautiful. Strimmed it each autumn, left the seeds to re-seed and it came back each spring. Wonderful

After reading this thread, I ordered some Bee Bombs and they’ve arrived.🥰

We have large planters that run all along the back of the garden so I’ve planted them in there. Plus I’ve done a control pot! So that when things start growing I’ll be able to check my pot and see whether I need to keep it in the ground or pull it up! Well that’s the theory!😂 I did tell DH that unless it was a nettle, I was leaving it in the ground.

The wind has battered all my flowers, virtually all the sunflowers are laid on their sides. Gutted
