Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

Get ready to remortgage your home and sell a kidney, Disney has released more details, and a short video, about the new 2-night / 3-day Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser themed stay which will open in Spring 2022:

disneyparks.disney.go/bl...-world-resort/

There’s also a new webpage on the Disney website providing more information about the experience, and an example of the itinerary across 2 days:

disneyworld.disney.go/st...ce-highlights/

(You will probably need a VPN to access the US website, although the UK version also provides some details)

Although it looks fantastic, it does cost a small fortune (for a family of 4 it’ll cost $6000 in total) and doesn’t even include things like costumes or alcohol. Plus the first day doesn’t start until 1pm at the earliest.

There is no way we’ll be spending that amount of money to stay there. Personally I think those prices are ridiculous and may possibly come back and bite Disney on the backside.

It’ll be interesting to see what the uptake of visitors to the resort is.

Because I suspect a lot of the conversation on this thread will be about the price (and how greedy Disney is) here are some example prices from the above website:

This is for a 2-night stay and includes entrance to Hollywood Studios for one day (I think you also get priority access to the two Star Wars rides in Galaxy’s Edge) and food throughout the stay - specifically two breakfasts, two lunches and two dinners per guest, and one quick service meal whilst in Hollywood Studios.

ETA: that’s $4.8k for 2 people, $5.3k for 3 people, $6k for 4 people.

Yikes! For 2 nights!?

More power to the people who can afford it I guess! 😂

Disney has clearly worn me down because the prices are actually lower than I expected! We’re definitely tempted but think it’ll book up as soon as it’s released.

It would be a big thing that our family would really want to do but to be honest I would struggle paying that kind of money for a 5 day experience never mind 2 days.

Ah, I see this has been moved over to the Accommodation section. I guess it’s tricky to know where best to put it - dining (it does include special food), attraction (this includes events in addition to a room for the night), accommodation (it is a glorified hotel after all), or transport (it’s a Starcruiser ).

I'd argue it could go in cruises as well. Limited time, set schedule and only one port of call off the ship allowed
