Yes, definitely linked to school kids. Most of my teacher friends are now off with it too - just in time for half term as well

Same where I work, had a few off, but all of them have school age kids, and thankfully ALL, kids and parents, have had quite mild to zero symptoms and have been back at work as soon as able to

I have to train someone new, who is starting next week, quite intensively on an office/computer based role before my holiday in 30 days (Eeeeek! )

I plan to work with a (already provided by the company) perspex screen between us and we still insist on masks where I work anyway (Scotland) so I will be taking every extra precaution I can before we go away

When they report covid cases, they don't report the ages, whether they are symptomatic and vaccinated. Same with hospitalisations and deaths.

They also seem to go off the subject everytime the case numbers drop.

We are going in January
and i still don't believe it will happen.
I am so scared we will have a positive test, or the borders will shut down again.

Planning used to be so fun. But since I have planned this holiday two times already and every time it got cancelled I lost all the enthusiasm.

Still cant wait to go. Really hoping it will be true this time. Just can’t believe it. I will be reading everybody’s trip reports
