We also have just returned from the Magic after doing 2 back2backs.
We should have been on the Dream in September and although totally different experience it was really enjoyable. There were 7 of us in a 2 bed concierge (cheaper than 3 separate staterooms) which gave us so much space. All ages from two 3yr olds, 1 childless couple and an old fossil (me). Plenty to do from wine/beer tasting, origami an amazing violinist in the evening and craft making. I know some people think not enough to do for couples but this is a Disney cruise after all. You get what it says on the packet, so no drinks package, casino and endless nightlife. The couple who went with us were in in their thirties with no children had never cruised before but love Disney and now want to try the Dream next year. I think these cruises have given so many a bit of Disney magic for a few days. I was fascinated with the diversity of the people on board from babies to people in their eighties. |

Just back - had a great time. Weather was *just* about pleasant enough to sit in the pool/hot tub which was a bonus.
Only 2 nights but felt relaxing and didn't feel we had to rush anywhere. Low occupancy made a big difference to the lounges/venue. 3 weeks to Anthem of the Seas, woo hoo. |

We are off the ship today too and we had an absolutely incredible time. We were three adults and the service for my gluten free needs (coeliac) was just fantastic. Never cruised before but would definitely do it again. Shop was diabolical - absolutely nothing of any significance to the disney magic, not even a little pin but after all the reviews I wasn’t expecting anything. Everything else was fab.

So we are finally off on the final cruise of this season on Friday.👍
I know I’m going to sound really stupid but I’ve really buried my head in the sand about this cruise (having had three holidays cancelled due to Covid, I guess I don’t think I thought this would really happen and tbh I have been less than attentive about all of the things I needed to do). So I’m taking both our passports and drivers licenses - just to make sure I’ve 100% got the right ID and I’ve taken a screenshot of the prenetics QR code to show our vaccinations have been downloaded. Is there anything else I need to take with me or have screenshotted? I feel very unprepared and feel like I’m missing something obvious! 😊 |

I’m so jealous, you will have an amazing time. I also felt a little like that - it still hasn’t sunk in that I’ve actually been on the cruise!
We got asked for our room reservation number so many times and the QR codes on the port arrival form. They made me open my prenetics on my phone rather than using the screenshot. That caught me off guard a bit but it was fine. I was a bit flustered with it all but managed to sort it! At the final check before boarding they scanned our port arrival QR codes and mine went red on the lady’s screen. It was all fine though, the lady took me to the side and sorted the issue which looked to be a passport picture issue, strange because it was all approved before. It was all sorted in about 5 seconds though and no panic! Everyone was really helpful. Have a great time |

You'll have a great time. Make sure you turn up at your PAT time and have both your PAT form, booking reference and Prenetics profile to hand. When we did testing and check in it was very smooth and took just over an hour from arrival at port to boarding, although 15 mins of that was sat past security waiting to be let on the boat as they hadn't started boarding yet! The testing was straightforward and we had our results within 20 minutes.
Just to check as you don't mention - have you checked in online and got your PAT time / uploaded photos & ID etc? And are your prenetics profiles both approved?

So sorry I missed this! Yes thankfully I had done all those things - everything went so smoothly, we had a PAT time of 12.15pm, but we were actually allowed in slightly earlier than that and we were on the ship by about 1.30pm having lunch at Cabanas! (I think it was 1.30pm anyway - I lost track of time, as it seemed to fly by!)
Sad it’s all over - but what a great feeling to be back on the Disney Magic, felt like a real holiday again! ❤️ |
