GDs passport valid on return ?
Sorry but brain not working. DD just asked me and I wasn’t sure so said I’d check with you guys!
Child’s passport expires September 28 2022 we fly to US on 13 September and fly back overnight on 29/30 September will her passport be ok or do we need to get a new one ?

No, you will need to renew it beforehand.
It’s ESTA which only needs to be valid in entry to US.

Edited as I misread the dates. You would need a new one as it would be expired on arrival and departure dates, however it would be accepted on our end without issue when you arrived.
As you have plenty of time I would just apply for the new one. Edited at 10:26 AM. |

Renew it before, you don't lose any time as they add it on.

If the passport expires on the 28th and the flight is on the 29th, that means to me that the passport expires the day before the flight so a new one will be needed. Alternatively you could change the flight to the 28th and not renew it.

Your passport needs to be valid for the length of stay in the US so she will need a new one
