Cleaner sea. There are many free parking locations. A far greater choice of restaurants. More activities e.g the racetrack, golf courses, ice rink, museums etc. Tomoka State Park. New outlet mall. To name just a few. |

I’m in the minority but I really like Daytona Beach. We have never seen the beach too busy, plenty of options for food for all budgets. In our visits for lunch/ dinner and doughnut stops at Krispy Kreme we have never seen any drug dealers. Kids have done the Zipline course which they thoroughly enjoyed and we have always managed to park close to the beach. Some of the surrounding area looks a bit run down but no worse than say parts of the 192.
