Best way to watch HEA if you dont have Disney tickets!
As the title says, what are our options? We are considering a second trip in December and would be there for my birthday. My wish is to watch HEA on my birthday but itll be a budget trip so no Disney (huge regret of not upgrading to AP at last visit!) and am aware we might be able to experience it outside the park?

Polynesian village resort beach (the one at the pool)
or having a meal at California Grill and watch for the terrace but you won't see much of what happens on the castle (you'll see more from the top of Contemporary) except for the fireworks |

Visiting the Tiki Terrace at the Polynesian is one of our favourite things to do on a non-WDW ticket trip. You can have a meal at any of the MK hotels, take a trip round on the monorail and then settle in for a drink or two on the Tiki Terrace. They have a wonderful Hawaiian themed musician and the setting is so beautiful with the lanterns and the flaming torches. Then you can sit back and watch the fireworks over the castle (as long as you sit on the left hand side) and, although you can't see the castle projections, they pipe in the music and vocals so you get to experience the whole fireworks show. It's wonderful
