Volusia Mall - anyone been?
Hi,
I have just been having a search about looking at different malls in the area and have came across this one. Has anyone been? Is it any good? Can you get any good bargains or is Altamonte better? Thanks |

It's at Daytona Beach! About 130 mile round trip.
Any savings you might make will be wiped out by the price of the petrol used to get there and back unless you are going to make a day of it and go to the beach. |

Lol
I think that we thought we might get out and about and see something other than Orlando but pop into a mall when we were out |

Volusia is a decent mall with the same department stores as most other malls, e.g. Dillards, Sears, J.C.Penney, and the advantage over Orlando is it's less busy.
As for seeing something other than Orlando you will never look back. Orlando is where people sleep who do theme parks, other than that it's the last place in Florida you would visit. |

Not worth it really, IMO. Unless you are visting Daytona Beach for another reason, Orlando has loads of great malls

I've been in the Volusia Mall more times than i can count, mainly because i spend over half my holiday in Daytona Beach..
Daytona is worth a day out,and the mall worth a visit, probably nothing in there that you can't find in Orlando but i find it cheaper (as is the mall at Altamonte Springs)and far less busy than the Orlando Malls. Daytona is only 1 hr from Orlando and its not going to cost alot in fuel (at the most $10 each way if you have a gaz guzzler that does 20mpg) i'd like to bet you could easily save the $20 it would cost you in fuel. |
