I actually think this year of many it will be difficult to know exactly what plane will be on what route and whether routes will be consolidated, cancelled or times changed.
Seat booking could be a bit of a nightmare this year if you want/need a particular one. |

👏 well said. It could put new people and even longer people in here off asking questions in the future.

As you have stated on numerous times, you're a single person traveller. But others may not be 😳🤔
So if they were a group booking of 2 families (I don't know if they are mind but I'm going from our experiences where we've had 12 travel in the past), then there could be double figures to book seats for. Sooner u book seats then more chance of being together. Or if not all together then split the group as best they see fit. Also they may have preference of seats they want. They may have medical reasons which they don't wish to say on a public forum. They may have numerous other reasons. That's not your business if they don't wish to say. |

I honestly don't think it matters is you have a reason to want to book seats early or not - there is absolutley no reason at all why you shouldn't want to book early if thats what you want- I like booking them as soon as possible because
1) - it makes it feel real 2) - its exciting for our family - we make the most of everything 3) - I like to have choice rather than whats left We have a family of 4, booked reward flights yesterday and picked our seats today for a flight next August. Immediately felt great :-)
