Mobile East coast?

As you can see from my countdown, I should be half way across the Atlantic right now on my way to Florida 😢 This trip was going to be almost a copy of a previous trip we have done, taking in the Keys, Naples, Siesta Key and then finally finishing in Orlando. We’re planning on rescheduling this trip for next year.

However, we have booked another cheeky 10 days to Florida in October (low deposit and dates can be changed if Corona is still a problem) and we are flying into Miami and driving up the east coast. We’ve been to St Augustine before and would like to go back there but does anyone have any other recommendations of places to stay and things to do on the east coast?

Also, can anyone recommend any east coast trip reports that I can read over the Easter weekend?

We stayed at Amelia Island, about 20 minutes north of Jacksonville, a few years ago, staying right on the beach.

I would say that it was a fairly quiet place, but as we wanted somewhere we could just chill out for a few days, it was ideal. Our DD at the time was 18, and she also enjoyed our stay there.

Our 2016 trip report has some photos of the area.

Deerfield beach is lovely, as is Vero Beach, we always stay in Deerfield if we fly into Miami and drive up the next day, and stop at Vero Beach on the way to Orlando. We also love Cocoa Beach, we love the East Coast and have actually spent more time there than we have on the Gulf.

My current trippy is our holiday from last year around the East coast. We went to Jekyll Island, Hilton Head Island, Tybee, Charleston and Savannah before a week on Palm coast where we visited St Augustine, Flagler and Daytona.
Really depends on what you are looking for in terms of activities.
We loved the North East coast very much.
