How that compared with the afternoon flight?

No arguing it isn't terrible for anyone involved and I'm reading this as I'm on the afternoon flights in a couple of weeks but according to a little research its be cancelled 3 times in the last 12 months.

Oh great, that’s the flight we are on in under 3 weeks 😩😩
I saw it was diverted to St John’s yesterday.
This was my worry when booking BA

Last July it was cancelled at least 3 times in 2 weeks, maybe by the exact calendar date it maybe 3 times (I was one of those times in October!) if I recall June 23 was bad too.

Any flight can be diverted due to a medical emergency so it isn't unique to BA.

More concerning is the cancellations and Virgin also seem to be having some problems with their Manchester Las Vegas flight.

We used to use this flight regularly and never had a problem, it seems to be a fairly recent problem in the last year or two. Funnily enough we got moved onto it last month when our Tampa flight was cancelled the night before after we had checked in. Thankfully it went on time and saved us the drive over & we got £520pp compensation from BA a week after we returned.

The stress of organising this holiday is real

Don't get me wrong, I feel more for the folks who've actually had their holiday disrupted. However all of this guessing and second guessing on stuff is hard work.

I had settled on BA, as they're reliably cheaper and their policy about sitting under 12's with their family members is more generous than Virgin's "we'll try & sit them somewhere near you, but maybe in front / behind you etc". Also I don't want to book an afternoon flight (as with young kids the day will be too long), so BA2037 felt like the best option for us.

Although now I'm flapping - given all the recent reports about BA being among the worst for cancellations, delays and losing baggage, and thinking I need to at least wait and consider the VS91.

I wonder what the excuse is today we are on it in September & last year too in November
I was in a panic even emailed them, I think Orlando is cancelled a lot as someone said earlier it’s a bucket & spade route, so no business travellers easier to cancel & they have the afternoon flight as back up too
Good luck all 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I’m sure it’s more than that as it’s been cancelled three times in the last two months at least. There were definitely 2 Saturdays cancelled and I think a Monday or Tuesday the same week as one of the Saturdays. This was June/July as I’ve been watching those flights daily.
