Is My Flight Full 2025 Edition
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DATE FLIGHT NUMBER DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL AIRPORTS IF THE CORRECT DETAILS ARE NOT INCLUDED THEN ANY REQUEST WILL NOT BE RESPONDED TO AND I WILL REFER THE POSTER TO THIS POST It isn't too much to ask the correct details to be input on the request as it helps people who don't know the flight number/route etc and it really does makes it quicker for me to respond. Happy to check any airlines/destinations and will post a reply even if it turns out that they don't appear on the systems used. Please feel free to ask on this thread but can I please ask that you have a quick look at this post if you have queries on phrases used as they may be answered below. Please also bear in mind that Tui/Thomson, Jet 2 flights cannot be checked as they are charters and Low Cost Carriers(LCC's) like Easyjet, Ryanair and Norse Atlantic Airways as they operate on a different sales method. Terms you may see being used are:- Full - means exactly that - all seats are occupied. Blocked means - The airline operating the route are holding the seats back - this can be for a number of reasons such as group travel, preparation for Online Check In (OLCI) opening, paid for seating, infant cot positions, allocation to a codeshare partner etc. It is up to them when they chose to release them and are often scattered all over the cabin(s). Wide open means - only a small proportion of seats already chosen. This does not reflect the number of tickets the airline can/are still willing to sell. TACTICAL SEATING - where the middle seat or window seat in a group of 3 is left empty in the hope it will not be occupied. MMB - Manage My Booking OLCI means - online check in usually opening 24 hours before departure. FARE BUCKETS - putting it simply each cabin is split into a number of different fares with different terms and conditions ranging from (in non Covid times) non-changeable/non refundable to fully flexible/fully refundable. They are referred to as fare buckets and they are all given a letter of alphabet to distinguish each one - usually the cheapest/lowest fares tend to go first especially for leisure travel. So the busier the flight the higher the fare buckets are left. Please also bear in mind that the very lowest priced fare on some airlines mean that seats are pre-allocated without choice. APPLICABLE FARES - There can be as many as 250+ fares for one flight - all with different rules. and the above explanation doesn't even cover things like advance purchase limitations, minimum stays and much much more. CODESHARE FLIGHTS - Airlines often within the same Alliance may sell fares for a flight that may be operated by one of their partners on routes that the marketing/selling airline do not fly. For instance Manchester to Orlando is operated by Virgin Atlantic VS75 may show the following flight numbers AF (Air France) 9898 KL (KLM Royal Dutch Airlines) 4802 DL (Delta Airlines) 5963 SQ (Singapore Airlines) 2575 Any replies will reflect the date and time of the request and will be subject to change especially if the request for availability is months in advance/school holiday dates. Many thanks in advance from stanleycamel. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() One of the longest recurring DIBB threads Number of continuations of the thread 30 Number of replies 22,844 - (not counting general comments and answers to questions) NUMBER OF VIEWS 1,503781 yes over one and a half million views during the years and this doesn't count the numerous posts about how to find the thread. I would like to thank every single person who has contributed/viewed the threads but especially to those DIBB members who over the years have used their knowledge (and dare I say it wisdom) to patiently reply to the flight load requests. We can and will continue to help. Link for the previous 1st January 2024 edition https://DIBB.in/16063003 Edited at 11:12 PM. |
