The Amazon wishlist

We've not been to Florida since late 2019 so our next holiday feels brand-new even though we've done it many times! This is the first trip abroad with DD aged 3 and to be honest, feeling like a complete newbie. As such, I'm in an overplanning (maybe) mode and cannot get off Amazon and our Florida handy wishlist is growing..

I have the following:

- Buggy bag/cover. We will be taking our silver cross buggy. First time we've done this and surprised to learn it never came with a bag!
- Doorstops. Essential for extra security whilst in the room because you never know
- Disposable ponchos
- Waterproof phone cases
- Buggy fan
- Portable mini towels
- Mini hand sanitisers
- Chair/Bag clips

Anything else that's handy to have? Is there anything I've added that's not needed perhaps?

Shell x

Portable chargers as you use your phone so much in parks and for just stuff
Wet bag - either pack an extra outfit for your dd, or take empty in case anything gets wet/dirty

I spent £100 on Amazon yesterday I have a 3.5 and a 1.5 year old and yesterday I ordered them both a pair of water shoes for our pool days. I also ordered a drawing tablet (there's a cheap 2 pack on there for £6/7), a bluey crayola mess free colouring set for the plane and restaurants. I also ordered a 5 pack of magic band clips/bands as I nearly lost mine about 4 times last year and my daughter will have one this year and I want to keep it safe. I got a 555 sticker book (you can also get these in the works, but it was cheaper on amazon yesterday) and a pair of goggles (which she needed for swimming at home anyway).

I also done a boots order last week and I ordered disposable bibs for when we're sitting having ice cream outside. Both my kids are very neat, but that florida sun isn't going to work! I bought sun cream there, travel sized childs farm swim wash, plasters, paracetamol, toothbrushes, toothpaste, kids suncream and suncream for us.

We went to DLP in November and we bought air tags for the first time, so may be something you want to look into. We had one in the pram and then I bought a strap for my daughter to wear one like a watch. It had a unicorn on it so she absolutely loved it

Also don't forget Calpol, Nurofen, and a thermometer. We brought large muslin blanket things last year that we also used pram clips to put over the front of the pram if they wanted to sleep (don't worry, with plenty of air coming in the sides, and it was a double pram so there was loads of room), and they also came in handy if either of them wanted a blanket when we were inside.

Funnily enough I managed to grab a £15 Samsung one, and then a kids swatch strap for it. So far DD is willing to wear it (big win) and I'm just trying to figure it out

Excellent suggestions too, thank you.

Pop up laundry bin
Collapsible cup
Would just take a light rain coat rather than a disposable poncho but if you already have the ponchos, may as well use them
Mini bottle of suncream you can refill
Cooling towels
Wine glass
Hooks for bathroom to hang swimwear on if you're in hotel
Bluetooth speaker
Feels like it gets so out of hand doesn't it!
Have a lovely time!

Don’t forget to take her usual squash in the small squeeze tubes,
I will say if your using Disney buses make sure your pram is easily collapsed (they can’t stay in, even usually in an empty bus) if it’s a travel system style you might want to investigate a cheap buggy from marketplace or somewhere instead of a bag
Usual U.K. snacks? My neice ended up with an upset stomach which I’m sure was partly the change in food (you can’t take fruit/veg based but if they have cereal bars or specific crisps)

We're taking our silver cross zest (Umbrella style) and the bag is only really for travelling on the plane; not decided if we'll put it in the hold yet though.

I'm thinking of doing a biscuit/crisps run before we go and sticking them in our suitcases. We can take chocolate can't we?

I find these useful

As another handy tip, DD likes flavoured milk, so I get those milk shake straws with us in a toothbrush holder! It fits them perfectly in a bag (even though she is much older now she still has these sometimes!) you can always get milk with kids meals and it makes a change from fizzy pop.
