Anyone going soon... how are you feeling?

We last went in May 2022, so almost 3 years ago!

Our boys are now 7.5 and 3.5.

If I remember rightly I always used to have a lull a few weeks before without any planning to do... but this time it feels completely different!

I cannot wait for this vacation... it is very much needed... but knowing how good it is going to be with the boys at the age they are just makes it even more exciting!

Anyone else unbelievably excited to be going soon (or maybe not so soon).

I know what you mean Mike, we had a 12 year gap between trips, and in that 12 years we brought our daughter into the world... visited DLP for her first Disney fix in 2020, then WDW in 22 and 24...
Now we've got until next year to wait for the next one... But still can't wait... the daughter is currently drawing up a "wishlist" of outfits she can buy with her pocket money so she can disneybound her favourite characters...
And i'm drawing up the plan for travel, hotel, car... etc... and finance

VERY excited. I'm booking our LLs tomorrow which means it's getting very real!

Think I have everything planned and we've been sitting watching Youtube vids of some of the rides, various restaurants we want to go to, Portofino Bay (where staying there for a couple of nights), and the Keys where we're heading for the last few days of the trip.

My kids are 14 and 12 and we were also there in May 2022 but they have been counting down the days for months.

Edited at 04:44 PM.

We went Aug 23 and we had to pre book Disney parks then so it seems strange (and like we have forgotten to do things!) not having to pre book parks this time! We have done much less planning this time around for our April trip.

We tend to do a Disney/universal/sea world trip every other year so not due until 2026. My daughters plan to the nth degree!
We now seem to have added an annual week at universal (well for the last 3 years) and I do no planning at all! Going early May and can’t wait - it somehow seems more chilled without the planning but I’m sure it’s actually because it’s only universal and one hotel with airport transfers included.
Have a great time 😊

We went sept/oct 24 during Milton and it’s the first time we’ve gone again so soon , normally 2 years. We had never really had rain before or the humidity as weve always gone end oct/Nov and it did make a different holiday so we are ready for this one and hopefully no rain !
