I ended up emailing them when we got back, I didn't get a reply so I left a trip advisor review recently instead.

A really interesting evening. The trick with the Tokyo Metro is that all the stations have a number so they count up or down depending on the direction of travel.
There's a very good Rough Guide to Golden Gai:

That area was just across from where we were staying.

If you booked that food tour through Viator you really should have made a complaint which they would take seriously.

yes I read that guide before we went, I hadn't expected it to be so easy though, should have done it ourselves, we know better next time.

We did a similar thing in Venice, got on the vaporetto the wrong way round and missed the trip we'd booked as it took ages!

i know i have read this before but coming back now that our trip is getting close. that airport pizza looks really good but your food tour sounded awful! The first place looked nice though
