Availability of restaurants on the day
So, this is our first time on the DDP. We have booked most of our restaurants, but have now decided we would like to go to OhanaS. There is no availability for the dates we can make and so I will look for cancellations. however, I was wondering, do they release any more tables nearer the time or on the day? What is the chance of getting a table if you just walk up on the day?
Thanks for any advice

No they don't release tables nearer the time, the availability you see is all there is, so in the case of ohana...none.
It is one of the most popular restaurants on Disney property so I think that it will be difficult to get a walk up. When we were there we saw a few parties turned away, we even saw a party who was 20 mins late turned away because they were too busy to accommodate. Never seen that at any other Disney restaurant before.

At this time of year it may be tricky to get a walk up table
(The past two years we have been able to get breakfast and dinner without reservations in 'Ohana, but that was in September) Keep checking though and you may be able to get a cancellation (have a look at the Mouse Dining website to keep an eye on availability) Hope something comes up for you, fingers crossed for some pixie dust! |

The best advice is to keep checking for an ADR, even right up to the day. I wouldn't try a walk up in case they're full and it's a wasted trip but it's easy to check the app for availability before you go all the way to the apply.

They don't release more but people do cancel so always a good idea to keep checking.
I checked a few times while there in May and twice an 'Ohana reservation came up. Both late times, 8.50 and 9.45 pm. I think touring plans have a reservation finder that will alert you if an ADR becomes available too. |

Walk up availability is limited but does happen especially for the less popular restaurants. I think they wait 15 minutes for no-shows

I managed this morning (through Mousedining) to get an 0810hrs reservation for 4 people for September.
