Breakfast ADR Magic Kingdom suggestions
Hi,
We are going to MK on our first day at Disney. Myself and 3 kids aged 8, 6 and 4. MK opens at 9am on our first day. We currently have an ADR booked for Chef Mickeys at 7:45. I have been unable to get an earlier one for here. I imagine we will be awake early on the first day, so am wondering if Chef Mickeys is a bit late for breakfast. I would like us to be at MK for rope drop or at least very close to it. Do you think we will be able to eat at Chef Mickeys at 7:45 and get to MK for 9am or can you recommend a restaurant in MK that we should try and get an early ADR for. Or alternatively, should we forget the ADR, wake up early and try and get the boat to MK for the first day as I have heard that is a good way to arrive to MK on the first day. I would like to do something as we should be arriving at CBR the night before at 7:30pm and the kids will go straight to bed. I imagine then, we will be up at about 4am or 5am, so would like to do something nice to kill a bit of time before MK opens. |

If you book Crystal Palace in MK you will comfortably make opening ceremony on stage at 09 am. This is character breakfast with Winnie the Poo and friends, and in my opinion is better than Chef Mickeys
BOG is another breakfast option within MK |

I would recommend an 8am BoG reservation if you can get it. Reason being is that you'll be done and in Fantasyland before the ropes drop. And they sometimes start the rides a little bit early so you can get 7DMT done before any crowds arrive, or be in the queue ahead of them at the very least.
Crystal Palace is well liked on here but is on the other side of the ropes, so no pre-opening benefits. I'd do a later brunch reservation here instead, grabbing a quick snack at the hotel on the way to MK. BTW, as you're staying onsite, I really wouldn't bother with the boat as the buses take you directly to the gates. So you'd have to either get an Uber from the resort to T&TC or get the bus to MK then the monorail around to the T&TC, just to catch the boat back to pretty much the exact same spot the bus dropped you in the first place. ETA: If you really want to experience the boat, my suggestion would be a breakfast at one of the lake resorts. Perhaps the Ohana character breakfast given you were considering Chef Mickey's? Then get the Poly boat over to MK, or walk to T&TC and get the big ferry. You'd still have to get to the Poly though - Uber is best for that especially early in the morning as there's no resort-to-resort buses. Edited at 06:55 PM. |

With your kids ages I would do Crystal Palace. We normally don't hit the rides after breakfast , because the person in front would be wearing it . We have a Nice meander around the park . I would suggest a slightly later breakfast if you want to do the rides first.
