Taking "snacks" from the buffets

Always see it as a no no in buffets, different if its a regular place and you don't finish all of your meal, but normally buffets say taking food out is not allowed.

I really couldn't be @rsed to drag it around with me all day.

I think if you have food on your plate that you haven't eaten then i would take it with me but wouldn't go up filling a bag with things.

When we were kids and on an a half board to Spain etc I will always remember my mum taking a couple of hard boiled eggs, rolls and some ham from the breakfast buffet in a napkin to make up for our lunches. Even as a child I was mortified! Probably why I hate hard boiled eggs now. I wouldn't take anything for the kids from a Disney buffet, thats what the snack credits and Walmart is for. But then I am the type that will pay stupid money for popcorn and drinks at a cinema instead of taking in a rucksack with sweets and popcorn from the pound shop (My mother still does this). I like aying for the experience wherever I go... even if it is silly prices.

I remember the odd piece of fruit that hadn't been eaten at the table came with us, and was normally eaten out of the restaurant by one of the kids. Doesn't tend to be much wastage on our plates after the buffets, as my DH is a pretty good hoover

We did stay Club at HRH this month and our 6 year old took an apple and a pot of cereal from the lounge to eat on the walk to the parks. We also took drinks with us, as did everyone else. Didn't feel guilty about this, as we didn't drink any alcohol, and every time we went for evening snacks, everything had already gone Not surprised as on our way down to the lounge, the amount people had on their plates going back to their room, you'd think they were feeding an army.

The first time we went to Tusker House the server said to us, when he brought us the bill, "Make sure you take a cookie each to take with you as you go." So I wouldn't worry about the odd cookie or piece of fruit. Having said that, he didn't say, "Feel free to fill up your bags with as much food as you can"!
