I do tend to faff about ! Its good to have a lot of the holiday paid for before we go. We will make sure we get there for opening and like you say the water alone is expensive. Using my Quidco cashback as well I will enjoy it more as it was kind of free !

For us it wouldn't be worth it, we would have breakfast before going, get a refillable cup when we got there and then a small lunch. The park is only open till 6 so we would stop on the way back to the villa. We aren't huge eaters when in the heat plus we would rather be doing rides than eating.

I think its the convenience more than anything, no carrying anything and nothing to pay for on the day.
