Merrytime vs Regular Cruise

Looking at booking a 3 night cruise for November 2018 and we have the choice of either the regular cruise on the 02/11 or the Merrytime one on the 09/11. Which would you go for as a first timer? My OH isn't that keen on Christmas as a rule so not sure if it will be a bit much for him. There's just the two of us, no kids if that helps.

I haven;t done the Merrytime cruise, but on our first cruise there was so much to take in as it was. I think it might be a little overwhelming to experience the whole ship, plus the special activities, all at once. Might be best to book a normal cruise for the first time - it's a perfect excuse to try a Merrytime or Halloween cruise next time!

Us too!

I would have always booked that date whether or not it was a Merrytime cruise, but my thinking is that it offers extra value with a few additional activities.
