Alternative to Teak in Davenport area?
I've seen reviews of Teak many times (drooling at scottishnellie's reports these last couple of weeks!) and do fancy a visit but it is a c45 minute drive from where we will be this summer.
So... is there anywhere that serves similar food in the Davenport area at a similar price? Closest I know, to the fish at least, is Bonefish Grill but where are we missing? |

Don't know how similar it is to Teak but Mannys is close to Davenport and the Lamb is possibly the most delicious food I have ever eaten in my life.

I've read about Teak for about four years now. Really think I need to go this summer despite the drive being about 30 minutes. Will try to do so when up near the i4 so not having to go too far out if the way. But am looking forward to it.

A bit different to Teak in 'feel' but Ovation Bistro is worth a visit - usually full of locals.

We've never been to TNG but from their menu and reports on here it looks more like a specialist burger place to me?
From our experience of Ovation and Manny's I don't think they promote themselves as burger specialists. Steak, ribs, chicken or fish is what we usually have at these two. Mick

We stayed in the Haines/Davenport area last summer and went to TNG one day we were near I-Drive. Was really nice but I wouldn't drive for more than 20 mins to it.
I wonder would Hurricane Grill & Wings in Clermont be somewhat similar? hurricanewings/menu/ |

You've confused me a little comparing TNG with Bonefish
TNG has a couple of starters, a sandwich and one entrée I think that can be called fish. Bonefish is a specialist fish restaurant. Mick

The salmon entree from Teak on scottishnellie's TR caught our eye too, as we don't eat burgers. It looks as if it's similar to the entree you can get at Grand Floridian Cafe which we've had a number of times and is delicious.
for fish meals, we have Harborside and harry's Old Place on the list to try this year, both a little way away from Davenport in Winter Haven. if you are talking about burgers at Teak, then although we've never had them, I've seen decent reviews of burgers at places like Ovation Bistro, Millers or Outback or Mannys:there's a relatively new Millers at Championsgate, and also one at Rolling Oaks.
