Beaches, beaches everywhere.
Beaches, beaches everywhere. But the question is what one?
I have only been to Clearwater in Florida which was a great beach, it was beautiful but rather quiet. What I would like to know is what are the best beaches to go to. We are staying near Disney on I-Drive but want to venture out a little this time and visit some the great beaches everybody talks about. (We are going end of April/May 2006) Any suggestions of places to visit while at the beach would be great. Thanks |

Beaches... ?
Hi...
last 2 trips have really enjoyed a day at Cocoa Beach, we park in the Holiday Inn (sorry can't remember directions) we used their beach / capanas as a non quest you pay for and they have a great beach bar restaurant. Also when you have had enough you can shower and change, and scoot off to one of my favourite shops Ron Jon surf shop open 24 hours! Mickey 1 |

I went to Clearwater back in 2000 with the whole family, we had spent two weeks at Disney and were spending the third at clearwater. We stayed at the Adams Mark Hotel, was appantlt a four star hotel. It was right on the beach, just a few steps and you were on the sand, beach was lovely and also very quiet a bit busier at the weekend. The hotel was nice but very empty, we were there at the beginning of October, and hardly saw anybody. Rooms were nice but nothing special. Staff thought they were something special, but were generally ok. You could see the dolphins in the bay from our hotel room, that was great. Went on a dolphin boat trip from Clearwater bay, we actually saw more dolphins from our room than on board the boat, but enjoyed it anyway. Was windy when we were there and the worst case of sunburn on our first day on the beach, so watch out. You don't realise how hot it is.
