Tipping when you have pre paid the service charge

It looks like our posts crossed
We are sailing with NCL on the Epic.
So it's room service, your cabin steward ( if you feel they have gone above and beyond the call of duty ) and your head waiter. Re the head waiter, we are dining freestyle, so I don't suppose we'll have
the same wait staff each night.
Geoffa, I'm not going to tip someone because of their poor living conditions or their hours of work. I appreciate your sentiment though.

Having prepaid your tips, don't feel obliged to pay anything additional. If your room steward does provide exceptional service, then something to recognise this would be appropriate. Having said that, in the 25+ cruises we've been on, all our stewards have been brilliant!
In Freestyle Dining you will probably not be served by the same waiter twice, so extra tipping is difficult. However, we usually tip the Maitre D' very early in the cruise and this usually secures us a nice table each evening without having to wait.

We've sailed Celebrity and Princess, but I think most are the same - once you've opted into automatic tips its up to you.
We dont add extra tips onto drinks, but we do tip room service.
We take dollars with us and on the last day, we give little tips to anyone who's added to our cruise experience and who doesn't usually get given tips.
