Does this apply to Memory Maker only as we aren't having memory maker for our trip next week? As we are staying off site can we use our ticket or should we purchase a magicband?

How does this work? Do you touch your band to a post so that it knows which train and row you are in?

Last time we went we did Test Track and even though we touched the band to the Mickey Head our car we created did not come up.

So do you have to scan your band onto a touch point as you get on the ride, or do you literally go on the ride and it will appear on your account without having to do anything?

Yes. It detects Magic Bands automatically. You only need to touch cards.

I think the only ride that wasn't automatic, for us, was Splash, every other one was on automatically. What I would say though is that I'm not sure I would do MM again, particularly the ride photos. Ok these would be great if the pic was only you & yours - we have a great collection of Splash pics (4 I think) where the person in front has raised their arms & obscured at least one of us ! I also don't think that the quality is that great & certainly wouldn't buy any of our pics separately.
