MDE technical issues today

Looks like MDE is having some issue from this morning that are still occurring.

There has now been a pop up message added when the app isn't opened explaining that they are experiencing issues and to come back later.

I have been told by an advisor on the phone line that they expect to be back to normal operation tomorrow... however they were extremely apologetic for the impact it has had on people looking to secure FastPass bookings.

I would always recommend using the website, and not the app, whilst here in the UK. The app on your phone is useful when in the parks trying to get a 4th fastpass (for example) but it often seems to have problems. This is by no means the first time I've seen someone say that the app isn't working properly - there seem to be problems with it every other day! The website tends to be a little less flakey.

However, if the current problem is also affecting the website then ignore the above advice.

Doesn't matter if I use the windows laptop, a Mac, the ipad or iPhone the issue remains the same.

I have just got off the phone and there answer is to clear the cache and cookies. I explained that I have just tried to access on a machine never used for MDE and the issue was the same.

Still, I cleared the cache and cookies on the various devices and of course that didn't work.

I asked how that would impact the app and she wasn't sure... just kept telling me that's the advice given by their IT team.

My case has been escalated and apparently I will get an email from their IT team but I'm not holding my breath.

She did say that every call she has had so far today and most of yesterday was about MDE issues and that there I see a massive problem they are trying to fix.

The old clear cache and cookies advice. Love that one- translates 'Its crap we know, please go away'.

Have you tried switching it off and back on again?

That's another of those "please go away" pieces of advice.

Lol... i was getting a bit annoyed as she kept saying “i told them not to let Sticth play”... if she had said restart I think I would have lost it.

BTW, I've just been onto the MDE website and it "works" for me. Admittedly, I don't have a holiday booked, don't have tickets and am not trying to book fastpasses or anything but most of the other stuff works.

Best one , I was in Magic Kingdom this year with 3 lots of Fastpasses about to kick in. It flashed up a message about Fastpasses being down and they all disappeared. I only had a loose idea of what Is booked as I'd got them last minute. Fortunately they all magically reappeared an hour later

I am enjoying the fact that it says I have multiple rooms booked at the Yacht Club 😂

All our fast passes and ADR are still correct, just gained some accommodation,

It will sort itself out soon I imagine
