How exciting, I hope you have lots of fun with your new addition!

I bang on about this everytime anyone mentions a pet, so if anyone is getting bored of me, I apologise, but get good insurance! Our 5 year old Cocker has cancer and we have blown through £8,000 in the blink of an eye, leaving us to pay for £1000 of his radiotherapy, travel (to France and back twice and to the UK once), plus he now needs a CT scan in November and every 4-6 months thereafter at £1000 (plus travel to the UK) each time. Upon renewal, all our dogs are going onto a £13,000 limit policy, as I'd rather pay out monthly than be paying out left, right and centre as we are currently.

My sister-in-law has one and we spend 2 weeks in the summer dog sitting it at her (very nice) house. He was down in Wales for his own holiday and we had him for 2 weekends. He is such a good natured dog - apart from he growls at other dogs as he’s not used to them with his living in the countryside.

Here’s him looking a bit strange 😆😆😆😆

I've got a springerpoo and a cockerpoo and they are fantastic dogs.
They are the only thing I look forward to coming home from Florida.
If on FB join Cockaoo Owners Club (UK), loads of great advice.

Love our two to bits, it's great having them in our lives. Zippy is 22 months old and George 4 and a half months. Fully of energy, such loving dogs with cuddles and kisses a plenty! Great to train, love their crates, toilet training was a breeze, neither have bitten a thing in the house and love meeting people...….currently cuddled in beside us on the sofa

Thank you everyone for all your lovely comments and photos. I will definitely be back with photos. It will be later in the year more towards Christmas time. We’ve already chosen his name - Barry.

We have a cockapoo, she is nine months old, gorgeous but full on, like a whirlwind! Wouldn’t change anything apart from maybe getting another 😆 the cockapoo groups on Facebook are fab

My colleague bought a lovely black cockapoo puppy earlier this year. It’s now light grey and you wouldn’t believe it’s the same dog.

My son had a cockapoo and she was a delight. She was always full of energy and loved the attention we gave her. We were looking after her while our son was on holiday when she developed kennel cough. The poor soul struggled on for a few days but the vet couldn't save her. She was only five.

Our son has been looking for another cockapoo ever since as he thinks they're just right for him and his disabled wife. He's in touch with rescue dog organisations who may be able to help.
