Trying to eat Orlando in 7 days Live - Day 1 part 2

After lunch we fancied something sweet so we had a Brookie from Fire eaters grill and a lemonade. For those that do not know a Brookie is a cookie baked inside a brownie, they sell them at most quick serves at Universal and islands and they’re really good, if it’s a really big day the chocolate chips melt which somehow improves the flavour.

It came to $7.76

Starbucks - Aventura

We changed hotels later on in the afternoon and moved to Aventura, as our room wasn’t quite ready we decided on camping in Starbucks. I ordered a dragon fruit mango refresher and Dan had an Americano.

I absolutely love these dragon fruit refreshers and wish they did them in the UK although I’ve heard you can buy flavour sachets in supermarkets over here so I’ll try and get some later this week

Don’t think I got a pic of Dans Americano as it was just an americano but it came to around $9

Brookies are just awesome. Should be standard across the world.

Cowfish

Cowfish is normally one of our favourite restaurants in Orlando and we looked forward to this meal for some time, I had my heart on a hoisin burger and hoped it was still on the menu.

When we arrived we were told it was a 40 minute wait so we looked in the city walk shops for a while and waited for a text to tell us our table was ready. 25 mins later we had the text and headed on in.

The restaurant prides it’s self ok good quality sushi and burgers and they also do bento boxes and great shakes.

We asked to sit outside on the balcony as it’s quite an atmosphere out there and we can people watch over city walk but we soon regretted this choice as there was one American chap who was so loud, it was like he was doing stand up with his friends and trying to get everyone’s attention but he had everyone’s in ten restaurant as every word he said was shouted. This was really distracting and when our server was taking our orders we had to replete them as he couldn’t here us.

Sadly the hoisin burger is no longer on the menu so I ordered burgooshi which is cheeseburger filled sushi which is wrapped in fried potatoes and normally garnished with pickles and other yummy burger ingredients. Dan ordered a cheeseburger and specifically asked for no salad, we also asked
For medium well cooking.

Now sadly this is where it went wrong, as the server was struggling to hear us and he brought my burgooshi out with the garnishes on the side, he said he took it upon himself to do this as Dan didn’t want salad with his cheeseburger , I explained that he need not have worried with me, my meal was ok but not as good as previous times I’ve had burgooshi and I think this was down to the toppings being on the side. Dans burger wasn’t too great - he’ll explain in full below.

I also ordered a s’mores shake which was nice but again the quality from previous visits had slipped somewhat. I am prepared to give this restaurant another go and hope this is a one off and the server couldn’t have changed the noisy customer so hopefully it was a mishap.

Total came to around $60 not including tip

Oh cowfish. What’s happened to you?

Service: rubbish. Utter rubbish. Server was far too preoccupied with the young girls sat on the table next to us.

Food: the burger are usually top class. This was not well done, more cremated. Cold with no seasoning, I’ve had better from a motorway services.

Fries were also cold and covered in some spicy sort of flavouring.

Overall: a bad burger with bad fries, in a bad environment, with bad service.

2/10: trash.
