Mobile Will bin men take extra, short term?

As the title says really, will bin men take another bag of rubbish for a couple of months?
The amount of plastic we are using for our son’s feeding tube & feeds is a lot! Our (plastics) bin is completely full and he still has 5-6 weeks left. If we explain it’s due to medical reasons and only short term will they take it?
Thanks

The bin crews are not allowed to take excess waste in our town.
However due to your son’s medical issues you should be able to have an extra bin.
The council website for your area should have somewhere to apply for one, or give them a call and they should do this for you.
I do this most days 😊

This varies from council to council FT. Give them a call - don’t just leave it as you may get fined

I don’t think most councils take bags that are not in the bin but we had lots of extra rubbish & recycling due to ours sons medical conditions so we spoke to the council and they provided us with bigger/more bins free of charge.

Is it purely plastic/ boxes or do you have a sharps bin too? We were promised an extra bucket from council but it didn’t materialise so do a weekly trip to the recycling centre.

We are so lucky where I am because we can put 10 black bags of rubbish out a week and the bin men always take them (plus unlimted recyclable bags of rubbish).

Some people are very lucky! Here if your bin is deemed to weigh too much they won't take it - no scales used, just what they think is too heavy (even though they don't lift them).

Ours take whatever we put out with the wheelie bin, always have and have continued to during the pandemic.

As long as it is easy for them to lob it in they tend to be ok, so I would just go ahead and put it out there.

Edit: as others have said you shouldn't put medical items like syringes in, but things like plastic wrappers will be fine as long as there are no chemicals or disease contacts involved.
