I use my spurtle to stir loads of things way better than a wooden spoon for getting round the bottom of saucepans bowls even making gravy in the roasting tin
I’ve even got a really old one I stir paint with and all sorts of things |

Ours was Mothers and she was born in the 1920’s and it had been her Grannies (atleast) so getting on for 150-200+ years old. Apparently still gong strong (even in the dishwasher) - has a crudely carved thistle on the top so I guess arts and crafts in Orkney. Well made wooden items last several lifetimes .

Back to the Cremola Foam - we loved it too. You can buy a wee bag of it in a sweetie shop in Largs

Loved Scottish tablet as well! (Sort of sugary fudge).
I remember eating porridge from a box with a guy in a kilt throwing a shot putt! Cant remember the brand. We also had the salt version! |

We use ours regularly. Even made American style buttermilk pancakes on it on NY day. My MIL will be turning in her grave.
I loved cremola foam as a child. Bought some 10 or so years ago at a wee shop in Inverary. It wasn't the same.
