Prawn cocktail- not very classy?

I am about to make myself a prawn cocktail and I know that many people will look down on me for lacking any class eating a prawn cocktail because it's as 1970s as Blue Nun, but I am going for it because I like it and if that means dibbers will mock me then so be it.

Edit: I have made it as below using heinz salad cream and heinz ketchup as the sauce and its truly lovely.

Add a little horseradish sauce to the Marie Rose to make it a little more exciting

We had prawn cocktails when we had our Christmas meals in the pub and they were vile, normally I love them and dh loves a prawn cocktail with brown bread and a lemon wedge!

Mick, it's difficult for you to do wrong in my eyes, but the only prawn cocktail sauce I can eat is Heinz salad cream and Ketchup mixed together which is more than exciting enough for me.

We love a prawn cocktail! Has to be shredded iceberg lettuce,
normal prawns (not king size) and a sauce with mayo, ketchup, a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of paprika. YUM.

I am serving this up Christmas day as a starter. I see you are just indulging any time of day or night MH.
