Looking at staying at this hotel in playa blanca for new year . Anyone stayed here ? Your thoughts please

I stayed here twice in 2016. It was a four star hotel then but after a lot of refurb work it is now a five star.

When I stayed I couldn’t fault it. Rooms were a decent size and very clean. Pool areas varied in size and location in the hotel grounds. The food was plentiful and general eating areas constantly being cleaned. There were three specialist restaurants which you could only use once each during your stay and had to be booked. We just picked the three days we wanted to use those restaurants and booked them all in one go on our first full day. There was always plenty to eat during the day, we went all inclusive. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely coffee bar which did liquor coffees

The main bar got busy during the evening but it wasn’t a problem and there were other bars. Entertainment was usually a singer but there was another large cabaret room that had children’s entertainment and then later a group.

The spa was a nice change when the weather was a bit overcast one day.

It was a nice 1/2 hour stroll to the marina and shops area with a beach/bars etc along the way.

It looks really lovely from the pictures since the refurb.

Have stayed twice ,last year and May this year,hotel is beautiful food was fantastic, would definitely recommend staying here 😁

my neighbour goes in November as well so will give me a full debrief

We came really close to booking this for last Xmas but ended up booking the lanzarote princess instead. We pulled up outside it a few time’s and it looked lovely, it did look nicer than the princess but it was the location that swung it for us in the end. If I was to return I think I would book the rubicon this time.
