Am I right in saying that there is only 1 Disney hotel in Hong Kong?

No, there are three:

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel (Grand Floridian theme) (Most expensive)
Explorers Lodge (This is the newest similar to Polynesian)
Hollywood Hotel (Movie theme) (Least expensive)

They are all situated right next to each other, Disneyland Hotel is closest to the park if you wish to walk (about 10 minutes), but, all hotels have coach transfer to the park just like WDW.

Thanks for the replies about the hotels - it's given me some food for thought! The Hollywood hotel is currently about £180 per night. Is the food expensive in the hotels/parks?

I'm now thinking that we could spend our last night at one of the hotels and then go straight from there to the airport for our late night Virgin flight home. How easy is it to get from the hotels to the airport?

Really useful thread so far. Thanks

You can get MTR Disney land station and go straight to airport- one change at Sunny bay. Very straightforward. Or get a taxi quite cheap. We will be doing the same spending the last couple of days in the park (staying at Disney Hotel) and going to airport for late evening flight.
