So I know nothing about Budapest but heard a few ppl mention it.
Would you recommend? Things to do? Is it affordable cost?

It’s a few years ago since I went but it was a great place for a long weekend. Lots to do and see and wasn’t expensive.

One of my favourite places. Lovely architecture and great restaurants. We stay just near radar Utca.

Have never been but am going next year to celebrate DD's 50th, have done a bit of research and there seems to be quite a bit to see and do for a long weekend, I particularly like the look of the 'ruin' bars lol... ;-))

I love it but then one of my best friends lives there so I always have a good guide.

Sounds great thinking of twinning it with Vienna? Don’t want to cut it short though how many full days would you say?

We went to Budapest for 4 nights a few years ago and that was just the right amount of time to see all we wanted to see, I would say 3/4 nights would be ideal. We stayed in a beautiful boutique hotel Palazzo Zichy, it was about 10/15 minutes lovely walk to the centre of everything not far from the indoor market.

We loved the city and it is very walkable, Gellert Hill has great views over the city (quite a steep climb but worth it!), Castle Hill is also lovely (you can reach there by a little fenicular railway/cable car thing!), the Chain Bridge and Royal Palace are also lovely to see and visit.

We found it very cheap and there were loads of lovely restaurants and bars.
