We currently having Virgin fit cables in our area so I’m hope to neither go with them or force my sky bill down a bit. I’m currently paying £85 for Sky Broadband Fibre unlimited with free calls and with Sky tv got the whole entertainment package with Sky sports.

HD or 4k? are there even any non-HD channels out there now?

personally, 4 years ago, i ditched the phone and tv packages, and went straight for 200mb internet. all my tv viewing is done via my amazon firetv - i use kodi, plex, netflix, amazon prime and the various free uktv apps (iplayer, 4od, etc) - i've never looked back! ive got an aerial with a freeview tuner on my tv, but it never gets used (seriously, like 5 times in the last 4 years!)

ask yourself - you want sky 1/etc, but is it the channel you want, or just a couple of specific shows? if its the latter, you could probably ditch the tv bundle altogether. if its the former, then look at the "tvplayer" app and/or nowtv - you could probably get access to the channels you want on tvplayer for only a few quid a month.

if you have any other questions about cord-cutting, let me know!
