What to watch on the cinema?

We have some of the Groupon Vue tickets that we need to use but I can't find anything I really want to watch.
I wouldn't mind Downton abbey, despite having never watched an episode before, because I thought it would be great to watch on a big screen but DH just gave me 'the look' so I guess that is a no from him.
Rambo, definitely a no from me. I didn't like the originals back in the 80s so an ageing Stallone isn't going to float my boat anytime soon.
Anyone recommend anything before I take DH to watch Playmobil: The Movie?

I have had an unlimited card for a few years now and this is the first year that I have struggled as there hasn’t been many decent movies on. I watched Downton this afternoon and enjoyed it but it’s just like watching a Christmas special.
I really enjoyed Fast and Furious Hobbs and Shaw, I’m not usually into that sort of movie but i was really surprised at how funny it was and thoroughly enjoyed it, that’s the only one I would recommend at the moment.

Ad Astra is supposed to be very good. IT Chapter 2 is great if you have time to watch the first one before you go!

NOT Ad Astra. We saw it last night and oh god it was one of the dullest films I've seen in my life. Don't believe the trailers, its 2hrs of Brad Pitt in a space suit moaning about having daddy issues. No excitement or exploration.

We have an Unlimited card and the best thing we've seen this month is Hustlers

haha - thank you - I said exactly the same, self indulgent rubbish... the trailers contain ALL the excitement.

Well if you look at the reviews a lot of people do seem to love it! So maybe you will.

Definitley mis sold on the trailer as an action space exploration/doomsday type sci fi film. I felt very sorry for some little boys who had been taken to see it by their dad's, clearly they thought it was going to be a fun action adventure their kids would enjoy!

It's very very slow with like two random action scenes that feel like they were edited in afterwards by the directors panicking about it being dull. Lots of navel gazing and weepy monologues from Brad about his dad not loving him. DH really wanted to leave after an hour but I was like no let's wait it out, something is going to happen, there's going to be some big twist. I was wrong.

Critics seem to be lapping it up.

At least my expectations have changed now, so maybe I'll enjoy it for what it is. I'll let you know my thoughts later!

Ok so, Ad Astra... despite lowering my expectations, I thought it was pretty boring and that there was no point to the story at all. That said one of my friends loved it, the other one was disappointed but still enjoyed it more than I did.
