I live about 40 minutes drive from Blackpool and we go on day trips there frequently throughout the year and we’ve never had any problems. It’s lovely walking along the front.

I’d say pleasure beach is a full day and I’d probably get fast passes as it can get busy.

Walk the dogs most weekends Blackpool is great.

It's known for fresh air n fun! 😁

Yes not my scene at night but definitely was 40 odd years ago with Northern Soul in the Highland Room at the Mecca. Can't dance that fast anymore! 😂😂

Always someone wants to put down Blackpool, Benidorm etc when they've likely never been!

Stop at the airport in the airballoon premier inn. Then catch the tram on a hop on/off ticket at starr gate. Feel free to go where you like up and down. We tend to sit in the sand dunes with a picnic if the weather is good.

Plenty of free parking opposite the airport towards the east side of the train station.

We lived in Preston and went to blackpool at the weekends, never had an issue with crime.

Another event to watch out for are car shows on the promenade.
This year had some amazing cars.
