Not a fan of water parks but i loved volcano bay, I don’t like Aquatica at all other than roas rapids but vb has its own version of that anyway, volcano bay without doubt

I just don't get Volcano Bay. The Tapu Tapu system gave us return times of eg. 2 hours later, so we spent most of the day just in the wave pools etc., waiting for our ride times.

It wasn't just one ride though, it was all of them.

Clearly VB is the better water park but we had a great day at Aquatica and found the cabanas very reasonable for what you get. We will be doing both again when we go back.

Aquatica shouldn’t be dismissed. Roa’s Rapids is far better than the equivalent one at Volcano Bay and the Cabanas are great value. However the theming and general feel of Volcano Bay is great.

Both parks are good. We usually do a couple of water park days so will do Volcano Bay and Aquatica. We prefer both of these over the Disney ones.

We'd only ever been to Aquatica, but went to both on our trip last month.
We all preferred Volcano Bay, the multi-person tube slides are a lot nicer at VB, at Aquatica they are a bit violent and a couple of our party hurt themselves trying to hold on to the handles as they were being thrown about too much.

Both were fairly empty when we went, we got to both at opening time, at Aquatica we were ready to leave by about 1:30 but at VB none of really wanted to leave, even though we had to due to other bookings later that day.

The two are worlds apart. Worse day of our Holiday when we went in May to Aquatica. The food was awful, the queues where massive and outdated rides.
"A dive" that is a huge exaggeration.

We recently came back and did both

Volcano Bay - One visit. Yes it was nice, very pretty and picturesque, clean etc. We just found it FAR too big. We constantly had no idea where we were and just felt there was TOO much there if thats possible? . Tapu Tapu i guess was a good idea, but we dont really care for the rides so much so only used it once.

Aquatica - Two visits. We have been many times and now that Wet and Wild has gone this is our 'go too' place. First visit was great, it was a Friday and it wasnt very busy. Again , we are not really ride people but enjoyed the rapids and the wave pool. Second visit, a Saturday, was HORRENDOUS. It was packed full with locals and just a generally horrible and annoying experience. Never again will i visit a Florida water park at a weekend.

Overall we prefer Aquatica.
