CNN have the highest gust of wind in Naples as 141mph

Have been watching cnn for most of the day.

Does anyone know what time it's now due to get bad in the Orlando area?
I'm trying to decide whether to go to bed now or wait! If it's still due around 2am then that's seven here so I'll be awake anyway.

Gusts don't define the category, sustained winds do.

If gusts defined it Scotland has had a Cat 4 hurricane in the recent past, which it hasn't.

Generally it was a Cat 3, but local conditions over Naples were the top end of Cat 1.

Wow. I didn't hear that. Though I am aware the wind's picking up. Huge gust just then.

We heard it, made us both jump up. The light shade has broken into 3 pieces, I've brought it into the room to stop it blowing around. This wind is smashing our door too, wouldn't surprise me if we lose power or the door blows open at some stage tonight

We've locked our door, but already it's like jiggling. This isn't even really the hurricane. It is, but it's not the worst of the weather. Looks like we'll be hunkered in the bathroom.
