Find which is your closest Walmart and do a "click and collect" Grocery order. You choose your window for collection but pop on the notes/instructions that you arrive to the area on vacation that day - the store keeps the order for 6 hours past the end of your window. That's what we did this time and just grabbed it on the way to the villa.

As we're awake so early on the first day, we make a breakfast reservation for silly early (last time was 7:05 at Boma) and then head to a park. Enjoy your holiday x

We always try to do our food shop on travel day! That way you can get on and enjoy your first day however you choose to spend it

Must admit, we normally arrive either a thursday or saturday x 17 nights - and dependant on what time we get to the villa as well. Pick up something to eat for dinner and enough for breakfast first day definitely do not go to a park the next day, too tired.
If arriving on a thursday, shop on Friday, unpack and maybe go to a mall for a mooch around and just chill out by the pool, friday chill out pool time and head off to a park for the afternoon and evening, same on the sunday. Then parks and water parks, villa chill days whatever takes our fancy for the rest of our holiday.
If its saturday arrival, get food for dinner and breakfast, food shopping sunday and unpack and villa time, monday we head for the parks over the rest of our holiday.
We dont like getting up at the crack of dawn as the parks open, much too rushed for us, after all its 'a time to relax and enjoy our holiday'. Everyone has their own special way of enjoying all that Florida and Disney have to offer and we all enjoy it in different ways, thats the fun of being in the 'Magic Place'.

We go next week, same flight times, and we have usually done a park on the first day, but then when it comes to shopping after everyone is so tired as we have all been up dead early, so this year we have changed tactic, and will go for breakfast, and then have planned a relaxing day at Showcase of Citrus, on the 27, and then shopping after, and once we get back the boys, DD12 and DD8 can just go in the pool if they want. Hoping this will make the big shop easier.

We stayed at a villa with another family on our last trip. On arrival it was drive the villa and then two of us went for a quick shop whilst the kids went into the pool.

Next morning we knew we would be up at the crack of dawn so we had a character breakfast booked and then a leisurely day at the parks before a big shop the following evening.

If you will be checking in at 6.30pm then I’d definitely be going food shopping rather then wasting the first full day doing it. Even though you may be a bit tired the last thing you want is to be going to bed that early unless you want to be up at the crack of dawn the next day.

On our first day, we got up and went to IHOP for breakfast. Then played the pirate golf on Idrive before going to Walmart or Publix (can’t remember which) for our ‘big’ shop. Then returned to villa for pool time.

We usually pop in for water, juice, milk , butter, bread, etc on the way to the villa. DH stays in the car and I go in for those few bits to make sure we can at least have a snack. We’re usually not very hungry after the flight so don’t always feel like eating properly, but sometimes will go to Buffalo Wild Wings once we have got the bags into the villa and had a quick swim to cool off.

Then we try our best to keep going till about 10 pm before going to bed. No matter how we try we’re usually up by 5 M next day and ready for an early start in the parks.
