Mobile Virgin airbus legroom

Hi all,
Has anyone travelled on the Virgin airbus planes that are brought in to replace some 747 routes?

I’m flying out on one of the airbus planes and back on a 747. Little bit concerned about legroom on the airbus (have booked exit seats on the 747 but no exit seats were left on the airbus).

Got the holiday super cheap so not massively bothered as it’s only a couple hours more than a flight to Tenerife in a cramped economy seat!

Any help/advice would be great

The Virgin Atlantic website gives seat dimensions in the Our Fleet section

Hi JohnD -

It does, but often reality is different to paper specs . Ryanair seats actually have more leg room than other brands - even though on paper they are some of the smallest. Just wondering if there was any personal experiences on here

Don’t know if it’s a different airbus but we’ve flown on the virgin airbuses (A330 I think) to jfk a few times and leg room was fine, felt no different to the 747 or other long haul flights.

I’ve found it to be reasonably accurate but if you’re concerned , have a look at seat guru as well

in the last 13 month I have flown with Delta, Virgin, United, BA, aer lingus Ryanair, Easyjet and emirates. I would say the VA legroom was on an a par with Easyjet/Ryanair but the seats on the virgin A330-300 (out of LHR) where really uncomfortable on both journeys and easily the worst of the list above.

Thanks for the honesty oeamon, from what I’d read it didn’t sound like the airbus legroom was good!

Luckily I have exit seats on the upper deck booked for the flight back on a 747, so it’s only one way .
